In short
- If reviewer comments relate to our drafting within the agreed scope, we correct it at no extra drafting charge.
- A refund applies when work has not started or when we cannot complete the agreed service.
- Scope changes, zoning or HOA decisions and third-party services are not covered.
- This guarantee covers our drafting work. It is not a guarantee of permit approval.
This summary is for convenience. The full text below controls.
If something we drafted needs to be fixed for the permit office, we fix it at no extra drafting charge. If a refund genuinely applies, we handle it fairly. If the issue is outside our control, we tell you clearly. That is the whole guarantee.
1. Free corrections come first
If your city or county sends comments on drawings we delivered, send the comments to us. We compare them with the drawings and the project information on your order. If the comments relate to our drafting work within the agreed scope, we correct it without charging another drafting fee. Covered corrections may include:
- Correcting information that was shown incorrectly.
- Adjusting dimensions, labels, notes or plan presentation.
- Adding information that was part of the agreed scope but missing.
- Reasonable revisions requested by the reviewer that relate to our delivered drawing.
- Bringing the drawing into line with the project information you supplied.
Correction timing depends on the number and complexity of the comments and any input needed from you or a reviewing professional. We give you a time estimate when we receive the comments.
2. Refunds when they genuinely apply
You may request a refund when work has not yet started, or when we are unable to complete the agreed service, for example because essential jurisdiction information cannot reasonably be obtained. Details are in the Refund Policy.
3. Sealed work is final once review begins
Some projects require review, signature or seal by a licensed engineer or architect. Once that professional has begun reviewing, that portion of the order represents independent professional work and is not refundable. We make these requirements clear before that stage whenever possible.
4. What the guarantee does not cover
- Scope changes after delivery, such as moving or resizing a structure, adding a structure, or changing the use or property.
- Permit decisions outside our drafting work, such as zoning or variance decisions, HOA or deed restrictions and property conditions.
- Information that changes after drafting begins, including measurements or project details.
- Third-party services outside the agreed scope, such as surveying, engineering, environmental review or filing fees.
- Rush fees once expedited work has begun.
5. How to request a correction
- Email the comments or correction notice to drafting@makeasiteplan.com, or send them by WhatsApp to +1 (385) 885-5362.
- Include your name or order reference, the property address and the drawings we delivered.
- Tell us about any resubmittal deadline from the permit office.
Please send us the comments before placing a new order. We confirm whether the correction is covered and what happens next.
6. Why we structure it this way
A drawing is a technical document prepared for a real property and a real review process. The final decision belongs to the permitting authority, so we do not promise approval. What we do promise is that we stand behind the drafting work we provide.
Legal notice
This page describes our customer service approach. It does not guarantee approval by any city, county, building department, zoning authority, HOA or other third party. Where the Refund Policy or your Quote differs from this page, those documents control.
