These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of makeasiteplan.com and any services you order from Make A Site Plan. Please read them carefully. By using the website, requesting a quote or ordering services, you agree to these Terms. Your written quote, proposal or invoice ("Quote") may include additional terms for your project. If the Quote conflicts with these Terms, the Quote controls for that project.
1. Our services
We prepare site plans, plot plans, permit drawing sets, architectural, structural, MEP, grading and drainage drawings, as-built drawings, permit correction responses and related documents ("Services"). The scope, deliverables, price and timeline for each project are described in your Quote. Work outside that scope is not included unless agreed in writing.
2. Quotes and acceptance
Quotes are based on the information you provide at the time of the request. A Quote is accepted when you approve it in writing or make the required payment. We may update a Quote if the project information changes before work starts.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate and complete information, including the property address, surveys, measurements, photos, existing drawings, product specifications and any permit comments.
- Confirm that you have the right to use any documents you send us, such as surveys or drawings prepared by others.
- Review draft drawings promptly and tell us about errors or changes before submittal.
- Check HOA rules, deed restrictions and private agreements that may affect the project.
- Submit the permit application, pay permit fees and arrange inspections unless the Quote says otherwise.
Drawings depend on the information supplied. Errors in that information, or conditions that differ from what was described, may require revisions that are quoted separately.
4. Permit review and approval
Drawings are prepared for permit submission based on the information provided and the project requirements we can reasonably identify for the jurisdiction. Final approval remains with the governing jurisdiction. We do not guarantee that a permit will be issued, that a reviewer will not request changes or that review will be completed within any time frame. Requirements can change and may be interpreted differently by individual reviewers.
5. Professional review, signature and seal
Make A Site Plan is a drafting and permit drawing service. Where a project requires drawings or calculations signed and sealed by a licensed engineer or architect, and that work is included in the Quote, licensed professional review, signature and seal can be coordinated. The reviewing professional performs an independent evaluation and may require changes, more information, calculations or site verification, or may decline to seal a design. Professional review fees may be non-refundable once that review has begun.
6. Revisions, corrections and scope changes
- Draft revisions: revisions requested during your review of the draft, within the agreed scope, are included as described in the Quote.
- Permit comments: corrections needed because of reviewer comments about work we prepared within the agreed scope are handled at no additional drafting charge.
- Scope changes: changes to the project itself, such as a new size, layout, location, use or added structures, new requirements introduced after delivery, or information that changes after drafting begins, are quoted separately.
7. Timelines
Timelines in a Quote are estimates that start once we have the payment and information required to begin. They may change if information is missing, decisions are delayed, the scope changes or a third party such as a reviewing professional needs more time.
8. Payment
Prices, payment terms and any deposit are stated in your Quote. Unless the Quote says otherwise, payment is due before final drawings are released. Third-party costs, such as professional review fees, surveys or reports, may be billed separately. Rush or expedited fees are earned once expedited work begins.
9. Cancellations and refunds
You may cancel a project by written notice. Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy and our Corrections and Money-Back Guarantee.
10. Use of drawings
Drawings are prepared for the specific property and project described in your Quote. After payment in full, you may use them to obtain permits and build that project. You may not reuse them for another property or sell them without our written permission. We may keep copies for our records. We may show drawings in our portfolio only with personal details removed and, where required, with your permission.
11. Website use
Content on this site, including articles, checklists and examples, is general information and not legal, engineering or architectural advice for a specific property. You agree not to misuse the site, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access or submit unlawful, false or harmful content through its forms. All site content, branding and graphics belong to Make A Site Plan or its licensors.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
Except as expressly stated in your Quote, the website and Services are provided "as is" and "as available", and we disclaim implied warranties to the extent permitted by law.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to a project or the website is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, including permit delays, construction delays, lost profits or costs of redesign caused by information supplied by others, third-party decisions or changes in requirements.
14. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Site Plans LLC and its members, staff and contractors from claims arising from inaccurate information you provide, your use of drawings outside the agreed project, or your violation of these Terms.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing any claim, both parties agree to try to resolve the dispute informally by contacting the other in writing and allowing 30 days to respond.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date shows when they were last changed. The Terms in effect when you accept a Quote apply to that project.
